Use an extractor program such as WinZip on the PC to get at the La Femme+ files. Install the application by double-clicking on the .exe file which opens the Install Tool program.

Use the ActiveSync button as usual to install the program onto your Pocket PC device.

La Femme+ and your Cycle

Each time a girl gets her period, a new cycle begins. The cycle usually lasts about 28 days, but the length of the cycle varies. Each girl's menstrual cycle can be different.

View Cycle Data

To view your cycle data go to menu Main/Cycle Bar. The Cycle Bar screen will be displayed - here you can see the exact periods of menstruation and ovulation as well as the day at which this cycle will end and the next one will begin. If you tap on the right arrow at the bottom of the screen you will be able to see the Cycle Bar chart of your future/predicted cycles and if you tap on the left arrow - the Cycle Bar(s) of the already passed cycles will be shown. If you tap on the question mark - more information about the active screen - Cycle Bar - will be provided. To exit this form and go back to Calendar View tap on the OK button.

View Cycles Chart

To view the Cycles Chart go to menu Main/Cycles Chart - all cycles for the current year will be displayed. You can select the year from the list or browse through using the arrows next to the year box. If you need more information tap on the question mark. To exit this form and go back to the Calendar View tap on the OK button.

Cycles History

To view the list of all your cycles entered so far in LaFemme+ go to menu Main/Cycles History. On this screen the start of the cycle, the start of its ovulation period as well as the cycle's length will be displayed. At the bottom of the screen the average cycle length is presented. To view the cycle bar of a cycle, tap on the corresponding cycle and then tap on button View. The Cycle Bar of the selected cycle will be displayed. Tap on the OK button to go back to Cycles History screen. To exit the form and go back to Calendar View tap on the OK button.

La Femme+ and your Temperature Readings

The Temperature Method is another natural contraception method that relies on the fact that around the time of ovulation the temperature of the woman rises by about 0.3 degrees Celsius or 0.5 degrees Fahrenheit and remains there for about 14 days of the cycle.

Entering Temperature Data

To enter your temperature readings go to Calendar View and tap on the corresponding date in order to open the Day View screen. Then tap on field Basal Temperature and select the corresponding value.

Temperature Chart

You can view the Temperature chart if you go to menu Main/Temperature Chart. The chart is organized in months - you can browse through the different months by using the corresponding month/year boxes as well as by using the arrows located at the bottom of the screen. According to the settings made the temperature is shown either in Celsius or in Fahrenheit.

Temperature History

A tabular view of your temperature entries is shown on this screen. By selecting an item from the list and tapping the Chart button you’ll see the Temperature Chart for the selected month. By selecting an item and tapping on button View you’ll see the Day View screen for the selected date. By choosing an item and tapping on button Delete you’ll delete the selected entry from the program’s database. By tapping on button Delete All you’ll delete all temperature data entered so far. The temperature is displayed in either Celsius or Fahrenheit depending on the program settings specified.

La Femme+ as an Organizer

La Femme+ enables you to use the program as an organizer as well. Up to four reminders/alarms can be set for each day - you are able to choose from the following alarm types that are predefined - Appointment, Anniversary, Date, Birthday, Party, Concert, Pill, Shopping, Alarm. If you need more detailed information about the alarm set, you can use the Note tab to enter anything you think might be of use. To set an alarm for a given day just select this day from the Calendar view, mark the check-box in front of the clock and when the screen below is displayed choose the corresponding alarm type and set the alarm time.

All the alarms entered in the program are stored in a database and you are able to view them whenever you want. By selecting an item from the list and tapping on button View you’ll see all the alarms set for the selected date. By choosing an alarm and tapping on button Delete you’ll delete the selected record from the program’s database. By tapping on button Delete All you’ll delete all alarms entered so far.

La Femme+ as a Diary

The application La Femme + enables you to keep exact track of all your visits at the Beautician, Doctor etc. You are able to enter your records directly from the Day View screen  - My Diary tab

Each day you are able to enter up to 4 records. From the first column the following list of options is provided - Hair Dresser, Beautician, Manicurist, Fitness, Doctor, Other - you can select the corresponding event and then on the free space next to it to enter short information about it - for instance - you may select  - Hair Dresser - and add the information Cutting.

The other way to access "My Diary" is through the menu - Main/My Diary. A tabular view of your diary notes is provided on this screen. The notes are structured in several groups – Hair Dresser, Beautician, Manicurist, Doctor etc. Choose the corresponding Note type by tapping on the arrow in the combo box – all notes from the selected type will be displayed in the table below. Below the table there are four buttons. You can add a new note to the list if you tap on button Add. To add your new note, please choose the corresponding date and type your text in the provided filed. When you are ready tap on button OK to confirm the addition or choose button Cancel to abort the action. If you select an item for the list and tap on button View, the corresponding Day View screen will be displayed. You can delete an item from the list by tapping on button Delete or you can clear the table and delete all records by tapping on button Delete All respectively.

Keep Track of Your Weight

La Femme+ helps you to keep track of your weight records. You can enter your current weight in the Day View screen.

This screen shows you a tabular view of your weight entries. By selecting an item from the list and tapping on button Chart you’ll see the Weight Chart for the selected month. By selecting an item and tapping on button View you’ll see the Day View window for the selected date. By selecting an item and tapping on button Delete you’ll delete the selected entry from the program’s database. By tapping on Delete All button you’ll delete all the entries. The values of the weight are displayed either in Kilograms or Pounds depending on program settings specified.

You can view the dynamic of your weight changes at the Weight Chart. This screen presents a chart of your daily weight entries for the current month. You can use the navigation buttons to move to the previous/next month or you can choose the corresponding month/year from the list. The values are displayed either in Kilograms or Pounds depending on the program settings specified.

Calculate Your Ideal Weight

Here you are able to calculate your ideal height based on your weight and vice versa. You can switch these two modes with the Calculate your ideal weight/Calculate your ideal height button. The units used in this screen are feet and pounds or meters and kilograms, depending on the program settings.

Program Settings

Go to menu Main/Program Settings to adjust your settings. In this screen you can specify the main settings of the program:

• Menstrual days - the average length of your menstrual bleeding

• Average cycle length - the time interval between that start day of the cycle and the first day of the next cycle. It is important to set these two values according to your menstrual cycle, because they will be used for predicting of your next cycle until you enter at least one full cycle. After that this values will be used to exclude abnormal cycles from the prediction

• Units Format - can be set to English or Metric. If you set the Units format to English all the temperatures values in the program will be in Fahrenheit and the weight values will be in Pounds. If you choose the Metric system these values will be displayed in Celsius and Kilograms respectively

On this screen you are able as well to choose:

• Week starts at – Sunday or Monday

• Date Separator

• Date Format

• Time Format

Password

You can use a password to protect your data. If you enter a password you’ll be prompted for it every time you start the program. Please, make sure that you have remembered your password or write it down somewhere because if you forget it you won’t be able to use the program and you will loose all your data entered in the system.
