CalcConvert is a programmable scientific calculator and converter. With CalcConvert you can:
The order in which CalcConvert solve the expressions is called operator precedence. Operators are evaluated in the following order of precedence, from highest to lowest:
The following arithmetic operators are available to use:
Exponentiation (^)
Unary negation ()
Multiplication and division (*, /)
Integer division (\)
Modulus arithmetic (Mod)
Addition and subtraction (+, )
Percent (%)
Arithmetic bit shift (<<, >>)

Relational and Logical Operators
The following relational operators and logical operators are available to use:
Equal to (=)
Not equal to (<>)
Less than (<)
Less than or equal to (<=)
Greater than (>)
Greater than or equal to (>=)

CalcConvert will automatically refresh any units in the Unit List with date/time functions every minute.
The following date and time functions are available to use:
The following functions returns a 'serial' number. The date is represented by the integer part of the serial number since January 1, 0001. The fractional part of the serial number represents the number of seconds since 00:00:00. In the functions below:
y is a year number from 1 to 9999.
m is a month number from 1 to 12.
d is a day number from 1 to 31.
s is a second number from 0 to 59.
m is a minute number from 0 to 59.
h is a hour number from 0 to 23.
sn is a date serial number.

If you find CalcConvert useful and want to create categories and units please purchase it. Purchasing CalcConvert is fast, easy, and secure. CalcConvert only costs US$17.95. To purchase, please visit http://www.binaryfish.com/purchase
Once you have purchased CalcConvert you will receive an e-mail with an registration code that you'll need to enter in the Registration Code field in Menu > More > Register CalcConvert. This code will "unlock" all the features of the software and convert it from the evaluation version to the full, unrestricted registered version.
Important: The e-mail will contain the name you used to purchase CalcConvert. If this name is not the same as show in Menu > More > Register CalcConvert, Owner Name field. Then you must either:

Importing and exporting a category
Delete a category
Categories are used to group related units. For example, the Length category groups all conversion units related to the measurement of distance. A category has a unique name and optionally some text describing its use.
Note
The currency category cannot be deleted.

A unit can be of the following four types: constant, variable, conversion, or result. Constant and result units cannot be changed by the user. Variable and conversion units can be changed by the user.
To change the value of a variable or conversion unit, from the Unit List select the unit whose value you want to change, then enter the value or expression in the Display Box and tap the Action button. The answer displayed is the new value of the unit, unless Calculator Mode is enabled. All units related to the unit will be updated too.
Note
Currency units can only consist of conversion units.

Constant units are fixed expressions or values and cannot be edited by the user. Valid value: 1/3, pi, 4.30. Constant units cannot refer to any other units.

A conversion unit is always specified in relation to that of another conversion unit. The exception being the base conversion unit which other conversion units are derived from. The value of a conversion unit can be changed by the user, this will update all conversion units. Also, any result unit that reference a conversion unit will be updated too.
For simple conversions such as Meter to Kilometer, Kilometer is derived from meter with a scale factor of 0.001 (Kilometer = 0.001 * Meter). From this CalcConvert automatically derives the reverse relationship, (Meter = Kilometer / 0.001). So in Menu > Unit > New Unit, New Unit (3/5), enter 0.001 in Meter to Kilometer field.
For complex relationships that require two formulas to perform the calculation in both direction, tick Use formula check box in Menu > Unit > New Unit, New Unit (3/5) and enter the formulas. For example, for Fahrenheit to Celsius conversions, Fahrenheit = ((Celsius*9)/5)+32. So enter (x*9)/5)+32 in the Fahrenheit formula field where x represents Celsius. For Celsius to Fahrenheit conversion, Celsius = (Fahrenheit*9)/5)+32, so in the Celsius formula field, enter ((x*9)/5)+32 where x represents Fahrenheit.
Conversion units may refer to constant and variable units.
NOTE: While adding a new unit or editing a unit, to refer to another unit enclose the referenced unit name within [ and ]. For example, if you want to reference a unit named 'my unit' enter: [my unit]. So if the expression is ' [my unit]*10', then if 'my unit' has a value of 5 then value of the unit will be 50 (5*10).

The value of a result unit is derived from other units and so cannot be edited by the user. The result expression/formula may refer to constant, variable, and conversion units.

When the Display Box displays an answer, it is possible to save the answer into one of the six memory slots. Tap Menu > Memory In and select one of the empty slots. If you select a slot that is not empty then the existing value is replaced.
