Calendar

This is the main view of the program and it provides information in a monthly organization. The current day is marked with a hatch. Each box corresponds to a day of month and may contain up to four icons of a different kind:

Each one indicates that there is an entry of the corresponding kind for that day. You can enter data for a particular day by tapping on it.

Different colors are used to indicate menstrual and fertile days. Menstrual days are colored in red whereas fertile days are marked green. Additionally, a question mark may appear in the upper left corner if no cycle status has been entered for that day and it has therefore been estimated automatically.

Day View

This is a tabular view with four views: Basic (Fluids/Temp/Weight/Note), My Diary, Alarms and Extras. You can switch among them by selecting the corresponding tab. The current date and time are displayed at the top of the screen. You may go to next or previous day using the arrow keys on both sides of the date/time panel.

Basic (Fluids/Temp/Weight/Note) Tab

This is the default screen of the Day View window. Here you are able to enter some general information about your cycle, about your present state as well as different reminders. At the upper part of the screen you are able to select your Cervical Fluid, your Basal Temperature as well as to enter your Weight. At the bottom of the screen you are able to write down a free-style note for that day.

My Diary Tab

This view allows you to keep track of different sort of activities like visiting a hairdresser, a beautician, a manicurist or a doctor; going to the fitness gym, etc. A short clarifying note may be added to each entry. Once you have reflected those activities in your diary, you can easily reference them in future.

Alarm Tab

Up to four alarms may be entered here each one accompanied by a short note. Alarms are activated by simply turning on the checkbox above. On the contrary, to deactivate an alarm, just remove its check mark. Once activated, an alarm will go off even if the application is not currently running.

This view comprises 8 check-box style flags that you may use as silent reminders (no alarm will be triggered, although a notifying icon will appear for that day in the calendar view). Two of the check boxes, namely the ‘Sport’ and the ‘Ache’ ones, have drop-down lists attached to them from which you can specify the kind of sport or ache you have had.

La Femme+ and your Cycle

Each time a woman gets her period, a new cycle begins. The cycle usually lasts about 28 days, but the length of the cycle varies.

View Cycle Data

To view your cycle data go to menu Cycles/Cycle Bar. The Cycle Bar screen will be displayed - here you can see the exact periods of menstruation and ovulation as well as the day at which this cycle will end and the next one will begin. The menstruation days at the beginning of each period are indicated in red whereas the fertile days are colored in green. If you tap on the right arrow at the bottom of the screen you will be able to see the Cycle Bar chart of your future/predicted cycles and if you tap on the left arrow - the Cycle Bar(s) of the already passed cycles will be shown. If you tap on the question mark - more information about the active screen - Cycle Bar - will be provided. An overall period duration is calculated on the left side of the bar. To exit this form and go back to Calendar View tap on the OK button.

View Cycles Chart

To view the Cycles Chart go to menu Cycles/Cycles Chart - this chart displays a detailed scale for all cycles entered throughout the year. The vertical scale measures the cycle duration and the horizontal one is used for cycle numbering (numbers roughly correspond to a month of the year). You can use the dropdown lists or/and arrow buttons to navigate through different years. Cycles longer than 35 days are presented as 35-day long. You can tap on a cycle bar and hold your pen down until a hint with the actual cycle length appears on the screen. The bottom of each bar is filled with red according to your menstruation continuance for that cycle..

Cycles History

To view the list of all your cycles entered so far in LaFemme+ go to menu Cycles/Cycles History. This screen represents a table containing row-style data of all cycles entered so far. There are three columns for each row: start date and length for the cycle as well as the first date of ovulation. You can use the scroll buttons on the right side of the table to move up and down.

Year View

To open Year View go to menu Tools/Year View.

The Temperature Method is another natural contraception method that relies on the fact that around the time of ovulation the temperature of the woman rises by about 0.3 degrees Celsius or 0.5 degrees Fahrenheit and remains there for about 14 days of the cycle.

Entering Temperature Data

To enter your temperature readings go to Calendar View and tap on the corresponding date in order to open the Day View screen. Then tap on field Basal Temperature and select the corresponding value.

Temperature Chart

This screen represents a graph of your daily temperature entries. The vertical axis contains units in either C or F, depending on the specified program settings. Days of month are respectively denoted on the horizontal axis. You can use the dropdown lists or/and arrow buttons to navigate through different months and years. The cross point for each day-weight pair is marked with a small black square. You may tap inside that square and hold down until a hint pops up, displaying the exact temperature value for that entry.

La Femme+ and your Weight Readings

Weight Chart

This screen represents a graph of your daily weight entries. The vertical axis contains weight units in either kilograms or pounds, depending on the specified program settings. Days of month are respectively denoted on the horizontal axis. You can use the dropdown lists or/and arrow buttons to navigate through different months and years. The cross point for each day-weight pair is marked with a small black square. You may tap inside that square and hold down until a hint pops up, displaying the exact weight value for that entry.

Weight History

This screen represents a table containing row-style data of all weight records entered so far. There are two columns for each row: ‘date’ and ‘weight’. You can use the scroll buttons on the right side of the table to move up and down.

Weight Scale

This tool allows you to calculate your ideal weight based on your height. Simply provide your height in the input field and press the “Calculate’ button. The units used in calculation are either feet and pounds, or meters and kilograms, depending on the program settings.

La Femme+ as an Organizer

La Femme+ enables you to use the program as an organizer as well. Up to four reminders/alarms can be set for each day - you are able to choose from the following alarm types that are predefined - Appointment, Anniversary, Date, Birthday, Party, Concert, Pill, Shopping, Alarm. If you need more detailed information about the alarm set, you can use the Note tab to enter anything you think might be of use. To set an alarm for a given day just select this day from the Calendar view, mark the check-box in front of the clock and when the screen below is displayed choose the corresponding alarm type and set the alarm time.

All the alarms entered in the program are stored in a database and you are able to view them whenever you want. By selecting an item from the list and tapping on button View you’ll see all the alarms set for the selected date. By choosing an alarm and tapping on button Delete you’ll delete the selected record from the program’s database. By tapping on button Delete All you’ll delete all alarms entered so far.

  This screen helps you customize your application preferences. You can choose among the following options:

• Choose frequency for the ‘Day Info View’ screen appearance. This screen gives a short summary with the tasks for the current day and may appear once a day or every time the program is run.
• Choose week style (controls whether the first day of week is Monday or Sunday)
• Choose metrics format used anywhere in the program. There are two options: Metrics (Kilograms, Celsius, etc.) and English (Pounds, Fahrenheit, etc.)
• Choose a date and time separators.
• Choose a date and time formats

Password

You can set a password to protect against unauthorized access to your data. If a password is set, you'll be prompted to enter it every time you start the program. Please, make sure that you have remembered your password or written it down since, once a password is set, there is no way to tweak the program into letting you in without entering a valid password. You will still be able to use the program after an uninstall but all data will be erased.
