Quick User's Manual



Description
SmartSMSFilter Lght - the small and easy in use program which will allow you to control incoming sms.

To any contact from your Contacts you can assign one of three actions on incoming sms:
1) accept sms with a signal (standard case)
2) accept sms without a signal
3) dismiss sms.

These actions also may be assigned to all undefined numbers and all numbers which are not present in your Contacts.

Installation
You should install SmartSMSFilterLght_PPC_OTA.cab.

1. Transfer the installation file (.cab file) to your Pocket PC from a desktop PC or by any wireless connection or Internet(OTA).
2. In File Explorer, locate the application installation package.
3. Select the .cab file and press it to start the installation process.
4. Perform a Soft Reset.

Note: Be sure to uninstall the previous version and make a soft reset before installing a new one.

Trial Period
You can freely use the full functional trial version of SmartSMSFilter Lght during 3 days. Then you will have to purchase the program or to remove it from your device.

Registration Code
Once the trial period ends you must purchase and enter a registration code to continue using the software. You do not need to re-install the software. Simply enter a registration code and your Trial version will be converted into a Registered version.

1. Press Start -> Programs -> SmartSMSFilter Lght -> Actions -> Register.
2. Carefully enter the Registration Code.
3. Press Register when done.

Deleting Application
If You decide not to buy SmartSMSFilter Lght You have to delete the application from your device and desktop PC.

1. Connect your Pocket PC to your Windows desktop PC.
2. In the Windows taskbar, right-click on the green ActiveSync icon, and select Open Microsoft ActiveSync.
3. From the Tools menu, select Add/Remove Programs.
4. Click on the program, then click the Remove button (next to "To remove the selected program from both your device and this computer, click Remove").

How to Use SmartSMSFilter Lght

The screen of SmartSMSFilter Light consists of two basic parts.

1. Status Bar

The top part of the screen is Status Bar which displays a current Program State. By pressing on Status Bar the Program State cyclically changes under the following scheme:Active->Acvtive By Schedule->Disabled. Also the Program State can be changed through menu View->Program State

1.1 Program State

1.1.1 Active
In this state SmartSMSFilter Light it is active and controls incoming sms. The action of SmartSMSFilter Light on incoming sms from specific contact depends on preferences of this contact and is set in the Contacts List

1.1.2 Active By Schedule
In this state SmartSMSFilter Light is active only in a time interval setted in Schedule Settings
1.1.3 Disabled
In this condition SmartSMSFilter Light is not active and does not control incoming sms.

2. Contacts List

The Contacts List is located under the Status Bar. At the left of a name of each contact there is an icon which displays action of SmartSMSFilter Light on incoming sms from this contact. By pressing the contact name the action on incoming sms cyclically changes under the following scheme: Accept-> Silent Accept-> Dismiss.

2.1 Actions on incoming sms for NUMBERS FROM CONTACTS LIST

2.1.1 Accept
Incoming sms is accepted by standard method with the signal setted in preferences of the phone on incoming sms. Sms is saved in the phone.

2.1.2 Silent Accept
Incoming sms is accepted but without the signal. Sms is saved in the phone.

2.1.3 Dismiss
Incoming sms does not accepted. There is no signal. Sms is saved in the trash for the time period which was set in program options (Options -> Options... -> Delete message in trash after). In order to see blocked messages choose Options -> Blocked Messages...

2.2 Action on incoming sms for NUMBERS THAT IS NOT IN CONTACTS LIST

2.2.1 It is similar to item 2.1, but action is setted for contact Unknown (the first line in the contacts list of SmartSMSFilter Light)

2.3 Action on incoming sms WITHOUT NUMBER OR WITH UNDEFINED NUMBER

2.3.1 It is similar to item 2.1, but action is setted for contact Undefined (the second line in the contacts list of SmartSMSFilter Light)

2.4 Action on ALL incoming sms
There is a possibility to assign an action on ALL incoming sms, without dependence from contact preference in the contacts list of SmartSMSFilter Light. For this purpose it is necessary to choose the action in menu View->Items Mode

2.4.1 User Settings
Action incoming sms depends on preferences of contacts in the contacts list of SmartSMSFilter Light.

2.4.2 Accept All
All incoming sms is accepted by standard method with the signal setted in preferences of the phone on incoming sms. Sms is saved in the phone.

2.4.3 Sailent Accept All
ALL incoming sms is accepted but without the signal. Sms is saved in the phone.

2.4.4 Dismiss All
ALL Incoming sms does not accepted. There is no signal. Sms is not saved in the phone.

3. How to Customize Schedule Settings
Schedule Settings allow to set the Program State in Active on the certain time interval.

3.1 Start time
In this time the Program State of SmartSMSFilter Light becomes Active


3.2 End time
In this time the Program State of SmartSMSFilter Light becomes Disabled

3.3 Select week day
The Choice of days of week on which SmartSMSFilter Light will sart in Start time and will stop in End time

4. How to Customize Options

4.1 Default message action
This action will be automatically assigned to all contacts which will be added in the contacts list of the phone after a first start of SmartSMSFilter Light.

4.2 Select contact list format
The Format of SmartSMSFilter Light's contact list.


4.3 Delete message in trash after
Blocked messages will be kept in trash for this time period.
