for trying Digital Tool List (DTL). A database geared toward tracking tools in
your inventory.
DTL
allows you to keep track of vital pieces of information such as serial numbers,
warranty date, and part numbers.
DTL was
conceived out of the necessity of having part numbers with me when I went to
Home Depot, Lowes, Ace Hardware, Western Auto, and
several other tool equipment stores. I hope is provides usefulness to you too.

DTL Main Page Fields
Tool: Enter name of tool to be added to
database.
Tool Type Dropdown: Select the type of tool this such as if it is powered by gas or electricity or even
if user just wants to add as a household or landscaping tool.
Make Dropdown: The dropdown list has many of the
most common names in tools. If one you need does not exists, simply type the
name in the dropdown and it will become part of that list.
Model: Enter the model of the tool which
is usually found on the tool itself.
Grid: Double-clicking on a part within
the parts list will display attributes for that particular part. See Parts List
for more information.

Buttons (Main Form)
New PN: Allows user to add a new part to
the database for the currently displayed tool.
More: Displays more information of the
tool such as warranty and expiration, where item was purchased, and serial
number of tool.
Show All: Displays all tools user has
added. Double-clicking on any tool will bring up that tool’s attributes.
Notes: Displays area where user can add
information about the tool.
<<< & >>> : Moves to previous or next tool record in list.
+ & - : Add or deletes tool record. The
delete record will also delete all parts related to the deleted record.
Exit: Exit Digital Tool List
Buttons (Parts List
Form)
Edit / Read Mode: This toggle switch assist in preventing
vital information from being accidentally overwritten. Select Edit Mode to
modify current part. Select Read mode to display only read only information.
List: Lists all parts related to the
tool. Double-clicking on any part item in this list will bring up that record.
Return: Exports parts list and returns you
to the tool record.
<<< & >>> : Moves to previous or next part record in list.
+ & - : Add or deletes part record.
Exit: Exit Parts List.
