TreoHour is a small chime application that causes the Treo to emit audible beeps every quarter hour (single beep), half hour (single beep) or one hour (two beeps). TreoHour has several user configurable options. From v2.5 on, the "Full Screen" option also displays the ringer status and alerts, messages and email counts. Now, includes KeyGuard and PopUp functionality.

The latest version of TreoHour can be downloaded here: (PRC | ZIP). The latest version of this user manual can be viewed online here.

HotSync or copy TreoHour.PRC to your Treo phone. It will apprear in the Preferences Panel under "Other". It should be installed in the internal memory for proper functioning.

Delete TreoHour from the [Home]->[Menu]->[Delete] window.

TreoHour should work as described with the Treo 600, Treo 650, Treo 700p, Treo 680, Treo 755p and the Palm Centro Smartphones.

TreoHour has been developed and tested on the Cingular Treo 650 (Unlocked) with the latest updater (Updater: 1.17, Firmware: 01.51, Software: Treo650-1b.17-CNG) available at the Palm website.

Invoking TreoHour from the Preferences Panel will display the TreoHour Preferences form. The options are straightforward and self-explanatory.

• Tiny PRC (~ 60 KB), NO hooking to 'hede' notifications.

• Chimes may not be accurate to the second. Time is flexible, after all.

• [Normal] No post midnight chimes if "Between X and Y" spans midnight.
• [Normal] Time interval problem, chimes one extra interval during "off" period.
• [Normal] Enabling "Flash LED" option appears to block chimes under certain circumstances.
• [Normal] Keyboard backlights flash a few seconds after the chime, if the device is "off". Cause unknown, but appears to be normal.
• [Normal] Page rendering goes awry if a chime occurs and a clock is displayed while in Blazer. Cause unknown.
• [Normal] If the device is woken-up by a chime and a MIDI tone is played, it cannot be interrupted with a screen tap. A button press is required. Cause unknown.
