EXAMPLE TO CREATE A CIRCUIT:
1) PLACING ELEMENTS ON THE MAP:
Choose for example
and place the element on the map using the pen. Next select another element, for example
, and do the same.
Remark 1: The corners are composed of 4 elements:
,
,
,
. When assembled:
. During the game :
Remark 2: The river is composed of 2 elements. For the sake of realism place river elements alternatively side-by-side.
2) START/FINISH LINE :
1- Scroll to the part of the screen where you wish to place the start/finish line.
2- Select the "start/finish line" element (
) in the Map elements list (G),
3- place the element on the Map,
4- Tap the "St" button (F), and tap the area on the screen where you placed the start/finish line (you don't have to start on the start/finish line but obviously it makes sense!).
Remark: To re-set the start/finish line just repeat the last four steps.
3) CHECKPOINTS
In order for you and the PDA controlled cars to know where to drive you must place checkpoints immediately before each change of direction.
Checkpoints give the player visible pointers before each corner and at the same time tell the PDA controlled cars where to go.
Placing checkpoints:
- Select the "checkpoint" button(D), and select the area of the map. If you make a mistake, you can delete it and return to the previous checkpoint by tapping button (E).
- You can mark the position of a checkpoint by placing a boundry mark on either side of it.(see the example below).
IMPORTANT:
Place each pointer in the right order starting with the first corner.
The last checkpoint must be placed on the "start/finish line":
|
4) ORIENTATION OF THE CARS AT THE START:
The starting direction of the cars is set by the number in (I). This figure must be between 0 and 7:
Number |
Starting orientation
|
0 |
|
1 |

2 |
|

3 |

4 |

5 |

6 |

5) Setting the number of laps:
The number of laps must be set for each level using button (H). The maximum number of laps possible is 3.
6) CHANGE LEVEL:
Tap button (J) and choose which level to view.
SAVE TRACKS:
To save the tracks file, tap the "save" button (C).
Once you have saved your file you can select and play it in the "Car" program.
Next time you HotSync, the file will automatically stored on your computer.
You can e-mail your circuit to: cgme@free.fr or fotsirhc@freesurf.fr, where others players can download and enjoy it.
The track file is save on your computer at: .../Palm/name_of_your_PDA/Backup/ .
